Brad About

Singer/songwriter and producer Brad Walsh's music has garnered much recent attention; Perez Hilton says: "One of our favorite new artists is the incredibly talented Brad Walsh, whose music has the pulsing vitality that Madonna's early work possessed [and] we are proud to say that we were one of the first to feature his music." DJ trio and style icons The Misshapes recommended Brad's song "Do It in the Street" as one of their favorite songs in OK! Magazine, and Seattle's The Stranger reviewed it as "fantastically dirty." DJ Josh Madden deemed Brad "this generation's Depeche and New Order!" Prominent music blogger ArjanWrites called Brad Walsh "a chameleon extraordinaire who has his finger tight on the pulse of what's hot and happening." Brad also composes and produces the runway music for each of boyfriend Christian Siriano's fashion shows at New York fashion week – from Project Runway's "Control Me" to last year's collaborations with Stellastarr and Junior Sanchez feat. Benji Madden – as well as his runway presentation on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

In October 2009 Brad released his new album Human Nature, and in December RCA/Jive released his remix of Adam Lambert's debut single, "For Your Entertainment," which is also used in a recurring ad promoting the new season of shows on the E! network. Brad's 2008 remix of Britney Spears' "Womanizer" achieved nearly 3 million downloads from his website alone. In 2010 RCA/Jive will release Brad's remixes of Lambert's second single "Whatya Want From Me."

Brad has been likened to a "modern-day St. Patrick" by the the Village Voice, with enough influence to "single-handedly drive the scenesters south of Broadway." But not satisfied simply to make music, Brad has turned a photography hobby into a budding side profession. Once known for his "bright, glossy pictures documenting youth and excess" (Village Voice), he now photographs portraits, fashion editorials, and ad campaigns. Several of his nightlife portraits were purchased by GenArt to travel the country as a gallery tour called "Capture the Night," a promotional partnership with Acura. Brad's photographs have most notably appeared in Time, Women's Wear Daily, Nylon, Blackbook, Time Out, Teen Vogue, OK!, Pop, The LA Times, and Spin; and in promotion or advertisement for TreSemme, Payless ShoeSource, Victoria's Secret, Gibson Guitars, CocoPerez.com, and J Shoes. Brad's photographs fill and cover Christian Siriano's debut book Fierce Style (Hachette Book Group, 2009), and he will publish his own photo book titled Anna in 2010.

This year Brad added "designer" to his resume with a jewelry line, and has already had pieces worn by Amber Rose, Mena Suvari, Adam Lambert, Kat DeLuna, Leigh Lezark, Sia, Kristen Johnston, Adrienne Bailon, Chantal Claret, Alex McCord, Sessilee Lopez, Shontelle, and Audrey Kitching, and the list is ever-growing. In 2009 Brad served as a judge for the Supima Competition for Emerging Designers, and in 2008 he was a judge for the Miss Maine USA and Miss Maine Teen USA pageants, the winners of which went on to Miss USA.
