Baby Beck In That Belly

I met Melissa Beck when she was Melissa Howard, fresh from her stint on The Real World and a Challenge or two. At that time she was pulling pranks as a cast member of Girls Behaving Badly and I was dancing to Britney Spears. But soon she was giving up Hollywood monotony for work and New York married life and now, mommied life.

I’m so thrilled to have photographed both her wedding and now her current state, eight months pregnant. She’s a super real lady and I am not lying when I say she is the funniest person in this state. I love her, and I wish her and Justin and their girl the best forever.

Kay hate to say it but… DUH! Who made you the “blog” police!? Most of “these people” have been fans of Melissa’s for yearssss and have been following her blog since 2000/2001. There was a link to these pics from her blog. We know and read the struggle she had to become preggers and all we want to do is share in this joyous time in her life. There are very loving messages left here and maybe just maybe she will read them and can share them with baby beck when she is old enough to read and see how adored her mama and daddy are and how loved baby beck is It’s a win win for everyone involved. She walks in beauty. Just seeing these stills make my heart want to explode and yes, her cheekbones are wild. I can appreciate the selection of these particular shots. Nothing can accurately capture a personality so vividly without stealing something midbreath, between the stretch of a smile, the slightly nervous tell-all hand pressed against the top of a moving belly. Those are not poses, those are moments from which baby would stop her bellyaching and let her mother be beautiful for just one f/stop, just enough to let mama be radiant and lush. This is embodying what womanhood is to a mother, y’all!

Mr. Walsh, you’re igniting a flame for the love of your craft. Consider me a fan.

And to Kay, stop hating! You act like you know all about how the world wide web works. See, this is a public forum and people use it as a vehicle to get their voice into the world–in contention, these messages of love and positivity to the subject of not only the photos, but the post itself. From what Melissa’s fans know about our lovely photographer Brad Walsh, he’s captured another extremely important moment in her life: her wedding.

What we know and can safely infer is that for one, they’ve known each other for awhile & also she trusts him at a vulnerable time in her life: they are friends or at the very least, work well together professionally.
