As with Ashlee Simpson’s “Outta My Head,” I wasn’t entirely blown away by Britney’s comeback single “Womanizer,” so I remixed it to my liking. I posted it last night and it’s already on a bunch of blogs, so I guess I’m just gonna offer it for download since you apparently like it (and I’m not allowed to sell it anyway)! Click the player to listen to it and the download button to… well, to download it.

Last week I photographed my friend Mikey from The Glitter Kids and wanted to try some lighting that was new to me. He was very patient as I set up dozens of different shots and continually moved things around, and it paid off because the photos from that shoot are some of my recent favorites.

Slow down! Take the scenic route, life! I need a drive through the gravel and grass for a bit. The evening hours following my shoots on Saturday were the first time in a long time that I was able to just sit my ass down and watch TV and eat junk food and not worry about anything except having a relaxing time for as long as I wanted. So I fought sleep until 5am, aided by a Pink Panther (cartoon) marathon. A close personal friend of mine and Mikey’s named Natasha, whose 44-minute Netflix “watch instantly” yoga video was pure poopoo, showed remarkable restraint when it came to actually doing anything. And then the one he thought looked like Tori Spelling (she didn’t) exhibited the absolute worst camel toe I have ever seen in my life, really. I think it winked at me.

This is Theo Theodoridis. He’s a Greek model. I’m sure you had no idea. He’s going to be in a movie that I’m also going to have a little part in, and we and the producer had a little informational meeting this weekend. I actually wasn’t completely prepared to do photos, but it was suggested, and then they started looking like this and… I went with it.
I got another note saying that my blog doesn’t show up correctly in Internet Explorer. Apparently if I ever insert a gallery like the one I just did above, it appears in a weird place if viewed in IE. I don’t really want to bother my web guy any more about it, so I’ll just say again that Internet Explorer is the devil and you really shouldn’t use it anyway. Get Firefox or Safari or something. Or else I will kill you!

So, one of my bffs Sarah dated this guy named Brandon, and another of my bffs Lisa is bffs with this girl Tara, whose merch is sold by my other bff Melissa’s husband Justin. Tara dates Brandon’s brother Travis. Brandon is in a band called Nightmare of You. Justin is in a band called Glassjaw. Travis is in a band called This Is Hell. Everybody fucking knows Andrew Tucci. A few days ago I photographed Travis.
Last night we went to a party for Anne Hathaway’s new movie Rachel Getting Married. Christian has talked with her before at other events but this was my first time meeting her. She was really nice, and looked incredible, of course. I was thrilled to see Sigourney Weaver and Susan Sarandon there, but I most enjoyed bumping into Sondre Lerche. He’s one of my favorites! I was trying to meet Debra Winger purely to wow my mother, but… can’t win ‘em all!

UPDATE: I finally received a check, though it was after much badgering, resorting to serving legal notice, and posting of this blog… and it was still five months late. I also had to go out of my way to pick up the check in person from a third party, despite all invoices and correspondence insisting that it be sent in the mail to my address. I was paid only because I gave them bad press, nearly half a year later, and no apology was offered. My terms were not met in any regard, so I am not taking this post down. Google will direct future researchers here, to a firsthand account of Kill Shop Kill’s incredibly poor business practice of not paying freelancers.
I invite my readers to boycott New York clothing brand Kill Shop Kill along with me, because I have not been paid for my hired photographic work after four months. The whole story after the jump… (more…)

“For years now, they’ve told us that we can’t afford—that the government providing healthcare to all people is just unimaginable; it can’t be done. We don’t have the money to rebuild our infrastructure. We don’t have the money to wipe out poverty. We can’t do it. But all of a sudden, yeah, we do have $700 billion for a bailout of Wall Street.” —Senator Bernie Sanders

As was evident from my Twitter frenzy this weekend, we had an amazing time in LA and at the Emmys and Governor’s Ball. Basically, we met every person who is and has ever been famous, got a mountain of unbelievable items for free, had drinks and dinners with legends, and ate the best food ever. Normally I come back from these things and try and recap everything that happened, but there was so much I can’t even begin to think about it all. So I’m gonna call my mom, babble for half an hour about everything I can remember, and then relax. I didn’t have my camera out too much of the time, but here are some random things I caught, with captions:

This is that bitch Lisa. She came over on the weekend and we did some photos in various spur-of-the-moment Christian Siriano creations. First he descended on the shoot with nary a word, armed with orange lipstick, which he applied with great concentration and no warning. Then came the black dress and the feathers, and finally the orange and gray ruffles, which were part of an unfinished dress on a nearby mannequin.

Tomorrow we leave for four days in LA, during which we will be attending the Emmys (!) and accompanying only the blondest and most attractive of the Madden brothers to some parties. I have never been there on any sort of leisure mission, so we’ll see if I want to kill myself by Monday. I’m just excited that it’s going to be in the mid 60s. Sweater weather is the best.

Today my flight was booked for a trip to Portland in November. I was asked to be a judge for the Miss Maine and Miss Teen Maine pageants, to determine who goes on to Miss USA and Miss Teen USA, and possibly Miss Universe. So of course I said yes, it’s so exciting to plan for and a big honor to be asked!

Last weekend I photographed Lisa (aka The Bitch), which I will post later in the week because there are so many great shots I haven’t even begun to go through them all yet. But while everything was set up, I photographed Christian and Kathy and Jes as well.
Tonight is Kathy’s birthday celebration; we’re all going to four different places and trying to remain upright by the end of the night. Lucky for me it ends at a bar on Christian’s block, so I don’t have far to stumble.

Let me first say Happy Birthday! to Kathy, my roommate and best friend of now seven years! Tomorrow we’re going out with all the friends but today is her actual birthday, so we’re going to watch movies and eat some sort of amazing dinner. And second, thank you to Michael Cepress of Seattle for the incredible vest I wore to Christian’s show on Thursday, it was impeccably done and got lots of compliments.
On Friday I photographed Casey and [a different] Christian for something pretty cool. Notice the underwear they are wearing. Is all I’m saying.

[Other] Christian, the one with the big hair, is from Norway and was Katrine’s friend who we all roped into joining the shoot. I think maybe every single American girl he spoke to while he was here is happy that these photos exist today.

Several have asked to hear it, so here’s the runway music I did for Christian’s show this week. You can hear it in the audio player below. Everything on the track is my original music, with guitar by Stellastarr’s Michael Jurin. After the jump is also a Youtube video we made with some behind the scenes and backstage photos from the show, as well as all of the looks on the runway, set to the song. Both this song and the song I did for his Project Runway finale show, “Control Me,” will finally be available on iTunes worldwide in a couple of weeks as a package for download. Just give me a minute!
