Bangin’ on My Boogie
Jake is in Idaho visiting family and friends and won’t be back until Tuesday night (that’s Halloween). I’m photo-ing a private party that night and won’t be able see him probably until Wednesday. I miss him. Idahohiowa.
Kathy made the most amazing lasagna last night and there’s so much left that we’re having it tonight at our pre-game party. Game = partying more, only not in our house. I didn’t invite everyone I wanted to because I’m lazy, so if you want to come, e-mail or call and I will give you directions.
I just found out that the girl on Robbie Williams’ cover of “King of the Bongo” (Manu Chao’s original being one of my favorite songs of all time) is Lily Allen. I’m not too into her, I think her album is okay and I don’t mind hearing it, but I like her on this track. His version stays pretty true to the original, maybe a little too closely, but the new production is fun. I wish he had changed his intonation and accentuation at all from the original.
God damn, my stomach hurts from being out too late last night. Today I had my first coffee in a few weeks, and it made my stomach hurt even more. I’m avoiding Red Bull and Sparks and that sort of thing because I don’t want to just out-and-out explode like Kenny with the Alka-Seltzer tablets right there in the middle of Spring Street.
I have the dumbest text exchanges.
